报告摘要:The planning, development and utilization of urban underground space will be critical for future urban development. Constructions underground, however, are more complex than above the ground. Critical issues that need addressing for intelligent underground urban space include: effective planning and utilization for underground space, safety for underground construction and operations of underground equipments and facilities, minimizing the impact of underground construction and equipment operations on environment, and estimation of potential damage caused by natural hazards under various field conditions. Techniques that can be employed for intelligent underground urban projects include: performing fundamental engineering surveys (such as drilling), investing the distribution of potential faults, employing three-dimensional geographic information systems (3D-GIS), creating three-dimensional simulative models for underground constructions, building models for local safety evaluation, visualizing the entire urban area via three-dimensional techniques, building a safety and security system for underground operating equipments based on various sensors and Internet technologies, and monitoring the dynamic changes of the parameters of bedrocks and other geological conditions.

BiographyJingyuan Yin is a professor at School of Computer Engineering and Science, Shanghai University. He got his Ph.D. in Geophysics, Institut de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg, France, 1995. His major research interests include application of remote sensing to geoscience and theory and application of seismic wave.
