Celtic Heroes

The Lisbon Lions

The Lisbon Lions who won the European Cup at the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon, Portugal on May 25th 1967 by defeating Inter Milan 2 - 1

With all the members of the team being born within 30 miles of Glasgow this make Glasgow Celtic the only team in European football history to have won the European Cup with a team comprised entirely of home grown talent.
Celtic were the first British and Northern European club to win the European Cup and are still the only Scottish club ever to have reached the final, reaching the final again in 1970, Hail Hail.

Henrik Larsson - King Of Kings

Henrik Larsson “King Of Kings” with 242 goals in 315 matches making him Celtic’s third all time record goal scorer.
In 2001 he won the Golden Boot award for being Europe's most prolific goal scorer, with 35 league goals. His total in all competitions that season was an amazing 53.

Jimmy "Jinky" Johnstone - Lord Of The Wing

Jimmy Johnstone, voted Celtic's greatest ever player by the fans in 2002
A Celtic and Scottish football legend who will never be forgotten.
R.I.P. Jinky, 30th September 1944 - 13th March 2006

Tommy Burns - R.I.P

16th December 1956 - 15th May 2008

Our thoughts are with Tommy's family, a Celtic legend and true gentleman, he will be sadly missed by many Celtic fans the world over, thank you for giving us football the Celtic way.
